The staff at The Hope House are an integral part of our success. Without their care and dedication the residents would often literally have no where to go.

Youth Residential Center II

Doug was and is responsible for developing or overseeing from the ground up the Hope House Teaching Parent model, all programming policy, procedures, safety plans and Managing Aggressive Behavior (MAB) Training, as well as serving as the Clinical Coordinator at Hope House. He has significant prior experience working at both residential and detention center settings, with Juvenile Justice Authority (JJA) and Child In Need of Care (CINC’s) as well as being the primary therapist/clinician for Therapeutic Foster Care at two different child care agencies in Kansas.  His main treatment population was children recently released from residential settings and working with families, resource homes, schools and other professionals to help this “high needs” population mainstream to the general population.  The primary interventions used in these programs were providing psychometric clinical assessments and family-centered treatments for clients and families. Additional functions include completing and maintaining court-related services and reports, making diagnoses, recommendations for placements and developing treatment plans based on client/family needs

 


Nick Crowley
Assistant Director

Nick Crowley has previously worked in the private security filed for over six years in the Denver area.   Nick began his career at Hope House in March of 2009. Initially, Nick was employed as a night shift Teaching Parent, Nick eventually worked all 3 shifts at Hope House, all the while maintaining and outstanding working relationship with the youth and Teaching Parents and was often the staff called in on a PRN basis to help supervise and de-escalate out of control youth.  Nick was promoted to Teaching Parent II in October of 2009 is now the Assistant Director. Since being employed here at Hope House Nick has never missed a day of work as this is tremendously important to the daily mission we are tasked with to meet the needs of the youth we serve.  Nick has had the highest evaluation scores of any employee for over one year.  Nick and his family have moved to Quinter to effectively assist the director in maintaining all daily administrative functions, covering call and in developing plans to meet the needs for the youth and staff here at the facility.
