Physical Care Program:

Quinter is extremely fortunate for a small town to be blessed with five dynamic physicians from Blue Stem Medical and Gove County Medical Center.  This is really unique for a town of around 900 people.  The medical group and the Hope House staff, partner in ways that are designed to reduce continuity of care issues for youth that move to our community and are placed in our care.  Monitoring of daily health with appropriate and timely medical care as needed is done in partnership with the Teaching Parents, administrative staff and the medical practitioners. The residents participate in Kan Be Healthy annually; and have many opportunities for daily physical activity (see our recreation page).

Quinter also has a local optometrist for annual eye checks to ensure that glasses are kept in good shape. Youth in out of home placement are often hard on their eye ware and Kinderknecht Vision is renowned for customer service and making repairs to glasses.   Quinter is additionally blessed to have a wonderful dental practice here, Blackwood Family Dentistry.  Almost all medical, dental and vision needs can be met right here in the small town of Quinter by practitioners who are very kind, caring and supportive of the Hope House mission.  In addition, they are Medicaid and BCBS providers.
