Mental Health Program:

At YRCII mental health services are supposed to be “incidental to the treatment and programming” of the youth and cannot be directly provided as part of the programming by the facility.  Hope House administration and staff feel that good mental health services are a crucial element in the healing process that youth need when they are placed out of home.

Consequently, a number of Qualified Mental Health Providers will be utilized from either High Plains Mental Health, or other qualified mental health practitioners licensed for independent practice by the Behavioral Science Regulatory Board so that the youth, families, and placing agencies have as many choices as possible.

Drug and alcohol treatment and service is provided under the same umbrella.  Hope House supports continuity of care with previous clinicians for the youth and there have been instances where a youth has kept their therapist from prior placement when logistically possible.
