What is Hope House?

Hope House, Inc. is a Youth Residential Center II with twenty-four hour care and agrees to provide services as needed and as required by Kansas State Law and is licensed by KDHE as a non-secure Residential Center is to provide an environment that will enhance the youth's ability to achieve a higher level of functioning while avoiding future placement into a more highly structured treatment facility. Hope House is licensed to serve boys ages 12 to 18 who have a well established pattern of behavior and conduct which is antisocial, oppositional, defiant, aggressive, abusive, impulsive, or high risk in nature. The daily rate for said service is $126 per day.

Hope House, Inc. will use a behavior management system that has been approved by SRS and KDHE involving structures and levels that focus primarily on positive reinforcement. Support of fair administration of the level system and the associated privileges and consequences is expected from the Case Manager or Placing Party who will receive a copy of the Youth Rule Book. Hope House considers the resident's program to be complete at Level 4 and 3000 points in the checkbook.
